Man Cave Table runner...

I was supposed to make Ryan a place mat for the end table next to the couch in the man cave...but I got distracted and made a table runner instead....He said he liked it so I didn't bother to shorten it.  Once again, vintage men's shirts and homespun fabrics are the key element.  Me and the Goodwill have become friends again...

And an up close shot of the Faded Glory tag....Walmart!  Holla...some simple wavy quilting around the log cabins--easy peasy!

And I thought I'd show my sister Gwen how much Ryan has grown.  He is 12 now and 5'6".  Check out the arm span!  I think he is going to be a big guy...That is me behind him...only 2 inches taller than my own kid??!!  How/When did this happen??  His foot is already bigger than mine as well.  I wish I could just freeze him right now, before he becomes a teenager...

Tomorrow I'm off to sew with the ladies at Fabric Boutique again...and drop off two quilts.  I LOVE the summer!!  Happy Quilting everyone...

  1. A great man cave mat. Sorry, Ryan going to be taller than you by far I'm afraid. He has a few growing years left!

  2. New to this blog. I feel compelled to warn you that boys of his age may start looking a tad husky one day, then overnight will pop out a couple inches or more! Make sure his bed is positioned so his feet don't face the wall or you may need to make repairs. LOL

  3. I'm so glad I stumbled into your blog! I haven't seen Ryan since he was 4 or 5 ... wow! The only thing I miss about LV is Fabric Boutique .. but my friend from SFO goes there everytime she uses her Hilton time share. So I get to play there vicariously with her. Glad to see you happy and healthy and quilting!!
