Christmas quilt top FINISHED!

Last weekend, on Halloween, I was busy piecing together this top that I've been working on in the Christmas Quilt-Along.  It is all made from vintage shirts....

Here is Ryan enjoying some time with Buddy...

I've been cutting strips for my Valentine quilt.  Hopefully I'll get some more done today and I can begin sewing soon.  I also must confess that I bought some fabric online.  I'll share more of that later. ;-D  So much for the moratorium!!!

Today is the baby shower for a colleague so I've been busy making games, buying prizes, cooking and preparing appetizers, etc.  Thankfully I already had the gifts made!  I hope you all get some sewing time in today....Happy Quilting!!

  1. Great quilt! Way to go! I had a doxie that used to enjoy the seat that was created when I laid on my stomach! lol

  5. LOVE this quilt!! I have a pile of yellow and blue shirts to make into a churn dash someday... I am a big fan of repurposing!

The dog is funny- our cat lays on me like that whenever I lay on my stomach. Must be an irresistible chair. :0)

  7. I love this quilt. It says Christmas but without being in-your-face about it. I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt it now.

  8. Very cool quilt! I'm starting to think you're a bad influence... several of your projects have caught my attention and made me think I should try them out... like I need to start any new projects! Very cool quilt, though. Now I just need to avoid thrift stores for a while so I don't start buying shirts...

  9. Love the Christmas quilt! Festive without being over-the-top or comercialized. If you ever decide you don't like it, I will gladly take it off your hands...
(and yeah, I'm way behind catching up on blogs, but I'm trying!)
